One of the biggest draws was being able to manage my own time. It gives me personal control and agency, which I value a lot. I like to work hard, and contracting allows me to manage that workload while also choosing when to give more of myself. Simply put, it’s the first time I’ve felt that my time is genuinely valued and respected wherever I go.

I wanted to work with people that practice what they preached. Everyone I have worked with has been honest and forthcoming even in the hardest conversations.

Candor has really impressed me with how welcoming and supportive they are. From the beginning, I felt valued and appreciated. They answer questions quickly, which makes a huge difference, and everyone on the team is so nice and approachable. I feel like I’m part of a family. Even little things, like being invited to the Christmas party, show how much they care about building a strong community within the company. Knowing I have a team that always has my back and values my contribution means the world to me.

During the interview process, everyone I interacted with at Candor was so genuine, sincere, and supportive, which really impressed me. Now that I’m here, my favorite part has been the people—both the Candor staff and the SLPs I work alongside. The camaraderie and communication with my colleagues have made the experience incredibly positive.

As a teacher, I felt I could impact 25 students in a classroom, but now my Caseload is around 300 kids, ensuring each IEP is tailored to their needs. I love having the ability to adapt to each district’s needs and support each child. I also enjoy training case managers so they can handle situations themselves and pass that knowledge forward. The job is challenging—handling everything from legal and HR skills to training and communication. But it’s incredibly rewarding, and I believe in making “strawberry jam” out of whatever “strawberries” come my way.
